In relation to the brochure being proposed, I am a Commercial Artist with
layout experience as well, and can assist in designing and layout of the
brochure.

Wow, lots in this one as always...
First, I like beer in super soakers, if ya' don't mind. Corona with a twist
of Orange (yeah, I know, I am weird...)
Second, Tim shared the original "cow experience" with me...and I am still
laughing...would love to see something along this line start up again
...although I wasn't around for the original version. But I do know that
leaving ritual circles is not acceptable, even to defend one's livestock.
Third, also have experience in production of small format publications, and
layout, during the real 'cut and paste" days, but and like the other Debbie
(I too, go by a similar name on the out side) type at a pretty good
clip...and do some layout on the computer, and if there is one thing I have
learned over the years, one program is very similar to the next and anything
can be learned. Wade, you have now gotten at the very least two
volunteers...can we meet at Fires with those of like minds, and discuss this?
Perhaps we could begin with a semiannual publication? The move to a
quarterly? Mind is now racing backwards to cutting, pasting, layout, hmmm,
and we don't even have to use that little black tape that was such a
pain...oh, I mean challenge!
And Thanks yo Mino...
"Community" What does it mean? What is it worth? What does it take
in order for one to function......and survive?
Forgive me dear ones, I quit preaching almost 20 years ago...so I'd do
better to just remember the crede of my initiation which is: Honor all
paths, and do yer (censored) job.
We all need reminders...but I don't like censorship...so just say what you
mean...oh, yeah, against the rules...LOL...
I have a dear friend who taught accounting...she used to say about life...
"The value of anything is what you are willing to give up to have it."
VALUE...we give up...maybe a few hours a year...that is what we give up to do
community services and teach workshops. (But do we really give up anything
when doing our community service?) And what we get in return is something
that is invaluable...a stronger group, a stronger family...so I figure that
we are making out like bandits when it comes to giving 4 hours each
gathering, and what we get is a much more cohesive family, one that is safe,
well-cared for, has children who have wonderful role models, we are all
better educated on our Paths, and so many more "pay offs" for a few hours we
give to OUR family/community. Not to mention we are building a stronger web
of like minds...always connected to one another via vehicles like this
e-group.
Mino, Cliona, Kehayke, Galwyn, Silver Wolf...et al in the SW FL area...see
you Sunday...you all better have a stack of hugs saved!!!
Blessings, and Light,
Tyla

'Witch' Fights Legal First to End Exile ACCRA (Reuters) - An 80-year-old
Ghanaian woman has taken pioneering steps toward ending an ancient practice
which condemns dozens of women each year to a life of exile and misery as
witches, the state Ghanaian Times said on Thursday. Janet Tibu has taken
legal action against the chief and elders of Peki-Avetile in the Volta
region, who declared her a witch last August, fined her and cast her out of
her village. Dozens of Ghanaian women suffer a similar fate each year. Some
are stoned to death. Others are confined to camps where witchdoctors subject
them to traditional exorcism rites after which they are forced to till the
land as bonded laborers. Tibu was accused by a traditional village tribunal
last year of bewitching a local herb doctor, who claimed she was the cause of
his poverty and impotence. She says she suffered humiliation as crowds jeered
and taunted her after she was convicted. She has since lived in agony and
poverty, isolated from her children who are forbidden to visit her. Her court
action pits the ancient customary law of the village against the modern
British-based legal system inherited from the former colonial power in what
could be a landmark case for hundreds of Ghanaian ``witches.''
