The Gift of Phoenix....This is the True Story of Phoenix... she came to me by way of friend, a distance of 45 miles. She was just a baby with long floppy ears, color of pure white and blonde, nothing more. What a sweet puppy she was! My friends were hiking in the woods and a pack of dogs ran up to them and left her behind. My friends waited for them to return, but hours later, they never did. My friend called and I accepted her living gift of friendship...
A few days later, we were wishing that same friend farewell, as she was on her way to get off-the-grid a distance away from Tampa, to Gainsville. A guest in the backroom left a candle burning and at 4:00 a.m. my friend was awoke by the no-named-puppy jumping on her. Smoke was thick to the ground and the backroom was in flames! We were in a trailer and are extremely lucky the four of people, plus the animal friends of one black lab, my no-named-puppy, and a cat named Sage, are still alive! We are also happy that the damage was able to be controlled with a lot of hard labor, paint. and repair. VERY LUCKY...
The wildest thing... My son returned home from vacation to find the new no-named-puppy. I did not wish to alarm him about the fire so his ears were never to hear the story. The puppy remained no-name because she did not like the names I called her... "Seneca" "Decca" "Cheynne". A few days later we were at a gathering where a well-known family dog named Onyx made friends with our puppy. My son accidentally called Onyx, "Phoenix" and our puppy came running! She was named Phoenix.
Better yet... ready for this? Walking in the park with the puppy, my son met a young girl with her dog. He was amazed at their similar apperance. Phoenix was blonde and white, and the other dog dark brown and white. I used to breed Keehshonds and know the "puppy rumble". These dogs had the same girth, tail length, length of ears, types of markings. I asked the little girl where she got her female puppy named Magnus... she said a very, far, way away... After confirming with the puppy's owners, my friend who lives on the border of her friend's property, you can now guess... These two dogs 45 miles from their birth place, found a home in some tiny trailer park TOGETHER! We were also informed that these pups were born on Octobery 31st and are Beagle, Pit-Bull and Sharpei.... THIS IS THE TRUE STORY about PHOENIX...
